Summary


We are seeking a passionate and skilled nurse to join our dynamic Treatment Room clinic team, where you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional patient care! You will be based at the Swinton Gateway, part of the Salford Care Organisation.

In this exciting position, you will assess, plan, and implement comprehensive care for our patients, ensuring meticulous documentation in both electronic and paper formats. You’ll optimize clinic attendance using the latest IT systems from the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group, streamlining the patient experience.

Your commitment to excellence will shine as you mentor and coach junior staff and students, fostering a culture of learning and growth within our service. You'll also have the opportunity to perform complex nursing procedures, such as ABPIs, that truly enhance patient care.

Recognizing opportunities for improvement is key—your vigilance in identifying and acting on situations that could affect patient well-being will set you apart. Plus, you’ll have the responsibility of prescribing treatments from the Trust Wound Care Formulary, all while being mindful of budgetary constraints.

In this rewarding role, you’ll provide top-tier care to patients registered with a Salford GP, helping those in need of wound management following surgery or trauma, as well as offering valuable skin care advice. Our evidence-based approach includes comprehensive assessments and effective treatment strategies tailored for all wounds and leg ulcers.

As part of a close-knit team —including Tissue Viability Nurses, Community Nurse Team Leaders, and Health Care Support Workers—you’ll play a pivotal role in promoting self-management pathways, empowering patients and their families to take charge of their health.

Our service operates 7 days a week . There are 6 clinic settings across Salford. Your base will be Swinton Gateway. At weekends and Bank Holidays we offer a clinic at the Eccles Gateway which all clinic staff are rostered to work.

This vacancy is open to those who have a current NMC PIN to practice as a Registered Nurse in the UK, or those who are currently enrolled on a course which means they expect to receive their full NMC Pin within the next 2-3 months.

Please note an NMC PRN Pin is not a full NMC Pin and would not fulfil the essential criteria for this role.
