Summary

As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and personalised support to individuals in need of assistance. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the quality of life for those in your care, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is committed to delivering high standards of patient care in various settings, including assisted living facilities and private homes.

We have openings for our Linear Park Residential Home, in Newton Le Willows, WA12 8RA, 17.5 hours per week, shift time 17.00 - 22.00.

Responsibilities
Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Assist with mobility and transfers, which may involve heavy lifting.
Engage in meaningful activities with patients to promote mental and emotional well-being.
Implement behaviour management strategies as needed to support patients with specific challenges.
Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to health and safety protocols.
Document patient progress and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
Provide companionship and emotional support to foster a trusting relationship with patients.

Skills
Strong background in patient care within assisted living or similar environments.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while assisting patients with mobility needs.
Familiarity with behaviour management techniques for individuals with special needs or behavioural issues.
Certification in First Aid is highly desirable to ensure immediate response in emergencies.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Empathetic nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
