We are seeking a dedicated and professional Support Co-ordinator to lead and coordinate support services for learners with SEND. Your Key Responsibilities:
As a Support Co-ordinator, you will:
Assess and Plan:
Conduct initial interviews, develop tailored support plans, and oversee Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Coordinate Services:
Manage timetables for Learning Support Assistants, ensure exam access arrangements, and oversee interventions for dyslexia, speech and language therapy (SALT), and Emotional Literacy Support (ELSA).
Collaborate:
Act as a key point of contact for learners, families, staff, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
Empower Staff:
Train and support teaching staff in delivering differentiated and inclusive teaching strategies.
Monitor and Improve:
Track progress, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and deliver impactful reports to senior leaders.
Advocate and Lead:
Be an advocate for learners in disciplinary hearings and promote their progression throughout their learner journey.
What We’re Looking For:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
A strong understanding of SEND Code of Practice and inclusive learning strategies.
Experience in assessing and supporting learners with SEND needs.
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Leadership capabilities to coordinate and inspire a team.
