Summary

Acorn by SYNERGIE is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client, a leading chemical manufacturer and distributor based in Middlesbrough.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Group Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for reactive and planned preventative maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime of production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

* Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, providing breakdown maintenance support.

* Install, maintain, and repair a variety of mechanical equipment.

* Maintain and update mechanical maintenance records in the site management system.

* Assist in managing minor site projects.

* Prioritize health and safety best practices, ensuring full compliance with industry regulations.

The successful candidate must be qualified - Completed a technical apprenticeship in a mechanical discipline (minimum BTEC Level 3 Diploma).

Familiar with a variety of pumps, valves (especially ball valves), and general site maintenance tasks.

Safety-Focused - Committed to maintaining H&S standards in all work.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
