Leadership Support Team
The Leadership Support Team provide full support to the Corporate Leadership Team of the organisation.
About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Executive Support Apprentice to join our team to provide a high level of service in respect of planning and organizing with our Corporate Leadership Team (CLT). – this team consists of our chief executive, Directors and involvement with a range of senior leaders across the organisation.
You will have day-to-day interface with senior leaders, stakeholders, councillors and employees across the organisation. You will have involvement in key objectives of the Council and be part of supporting our residents and making a difference in our community.
You will be developed to assist in the day-to-day activities supporting the team which follow the organisation’s policies and procedures. You will help to plan and review the operational arrangements of key priorities of the organisation.

This post is considered by the authority to be a customer-facing position; as such it falls within scope of the Code of Practice on English language requirement for public sector workers. The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
Candidate Profile
Requirements:
· English and Mathematics to GCSE 4-9 or A-C level or equivalent.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages – Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel with a passion to learn administration and office skills including accurate data entry, planning and organising and communication.
· Good level of numeric and literacy skills with an eye for attention to detail.
After training and development:
o The ability to work independently with limited supervision and plan workload to meet deadlines
o Ability to analyse and interpret data and information
o Experience of maintaining complex situations.
o Experience of dealing with enquiries from the public and senior officers.
o Experience of office administration processes, mailing, scanning, filing and use of information systems
