The Talent Acquisition team supports the organisation to attract the best talent to the NHSBSA, enables our existing colleagues to progress their careers, and helps build and influence our employer brand. As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will support the Talent Acquisition Manager in providing an innovative talent acquisition agenda that allows us to attract, develop and retain talented individuals, enabling our organisation to compete in the market to achieve its strategy through its people. You will be forward-thinking, pro-active, and take an evidence-based approach to your work. You will work collaboratively with the business and wider People team to implement talent acquisition initiatives that are effective, future focused and take a whole system approach. You will play a key role in developing our attraction agenda, employer brand, and our EVP. For further details on all essential and desirable criteria please see the attached Job Description. In this role, you will: 1. Provide an excellent and proactive talent acquisition service to the business. This will involve working collaboratively with business leaders and key members of the People team to understand the business talent acquisition needs and delivering proactive solutions and opportunities. 2. Apply talent acquisition knowledge to business challenges, building commercial acumen to proactively support leaders in the delivery of the NHSBSA strategy and the people elements within this. 3. Work with both business leaders and the People team to gain a full awareness and understanding of all current talent acquisition activities that occur within the NHSBSA and enable the centralised sharing of best practice from these activities across the business progressing a whole system view. 4. Support the Talent Acquisition Manager, taking ownership of key elements within the end-to-end recruitment and attraction agenda for the NHSBSA. This will include developing innovative resourcing strategies and embedding these within the business, with continual review and benefit realisation. 5. Developing best-in-class recruitment practices, with a key focus on the recruitment, induction and onboarding stages. Working with members of the wider people team and internal customers/departments (including shared services), develop continual improvements to the initial stages of the employee life cycle that enables us to attract, engage and retain colleagues in the NHSBSA. 6. Support and lead the development of early career pathways externally, including apprenticeships, graduate opportunities, and other early careers pathways. 7. Support the development of the career pages on the NHSBSAs new external website from a talent acquisition perspective, ensuring it promotes our offering and our employer brand and allows us to attract talented individuals to our organisation. 8. In conjunction with our Diversity and Inclusion team, support the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop our pathways into work for the NHSBSA, ensuring these are inclusive and take into account our current and future workforce planning requirements. 9. Ensure all advice provided is compliant with employment legislation, NHS employer guidance and internal policies and procedures. 10. Continually develop your professional knowledge and skills by keeping up to date with external trends and best practice in the areas of Talent Acquisition and HR more broadly. This will include keeping up to date on relevant employment legislation and NHS developments, providing advice and interpretation on the implications of such changes, and cascading this knowledge. 11. Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to achieve our strategic people aims and provide a best-in-class colleague experience. This includes building effective working relationships with the HR Shared Services team. 12. Build active internal and external networks/relationships/partnerships within the NHS and wider organisations, to share working practices and build innovative ideas, enabling the Talent Acquisition team to be more effective. 13. Building our employer brand by being an ambassador for the NHSBSA though networking, speaking at events and partner relationships. 14. Being an active member of the wider HR team, continually supporting team development and challenging the status quo to ensure a consistent, value adding HR provision to leaders and colleagues.
