Band 4 Job Advert – Junior Paralegal

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the experienced legal team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The postholder will be required to provide high quality and comprehensive administrative and legal support to the Legal Department.

The Legal Services team falls within Corporate Development and works closely with colleagues across the trust to resolve legal issues and contribute to the governance structure. The main roles the team provides is:



• Advice and representation at inquests

• Input on clinical negligence and personal injury claims;

• Medico-legal advice; and

• Governance input on learning from claims and trends in the legal caseload.

The legal services department is offering a full-time role for a driven and motivated paralegal. The role will involve assisting with the effective day to day running of the legal service, including with complex administrative matters and assisting all members of the department with the efficient management of claims and inquests. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and progress in their legal career, by assisting senior lawyers on interesting and complex medical cases within the NHS.
