Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Part time, 20 hours per week during term time only. Split shift 07:30-09:30 and 14:45-16:45. Four posts available.

Worker Type: Offsite Worker

Salary: Starting Salary is £24,790 (Level one) rising to £25,584 (level 3) per annum (pro rata for part-time). This is a part time post with salary starting at approximately £11,500 per annum.

About the Role

To maintain passenger comfort while providing transport to and from Special Educational Schools for high dependency students. providing care, responsive and effective support whilst assisting passengers with physical, mental and/or development disabilities.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to liaise with both driver, parents/carers and other professional people you come in contact with, reporting any issues/concerns to the office as soon as possible.
  • Comply with the principles of standard infection control protocols at all time to prevent the spread of infection
  • Ability to monitor passengers while seating facing the rear of the vehicle
  • Ability to maintain passenger comfort while providing transport to and from Special Educational Schools and Day Centres. Providing care, responsive and effective support whilst assisting passengers with physical, mental and /or development disabilities.
  • This role requires manual handling of people such as pushing wheelchairs, supporting ambulant passengers with mobility issues, support passengers while using vehicle tail lift.

- A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.
