The role involves supporting the research, development and/ or delivery of bespoke cultural programmes of activity in collaboration with Culture Leicestershire, ensuring models of activity meet the need of targeted audiences with the aim of reducing social isolation and improving wellbeing.

About the Role

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • To research, plan and /or deliver engaging and exciting creative cultural activities using appropriate approaches based on the characteristics of targeted audiences.
  • Be knowledgeable and embrace the Participation Team offer and approach in order to support participants and communities and be able to confidently promote the service to potential new audiences
  • To ensure that the activities meets the needs of our audiences by researching, piloting, delivering, evaluating and consulting on delivery.
  • Support the marketing and social media promotion of the Participation Team by gathering content.

About You

To apply for this post, you must:

  • Level 3 qualification or relevant and demonstrable experience of the below.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in the cultural sector (e.g. Heritage, Libraries, Arts)
  • Experience of working with community groups and individuals experiencing social or cultural exclusion.
  • Knowledge of understanding of the needs of different audiences and experience in producing resources or activities that cater to them
  • Ability to interact positively with a wide range of individuals and partners
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.

DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity (includes a barred list check) is an essential requirement.

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
