Summary
These posts are ideal for those looking for their first registrar post in a busy but supportive training environment and are fully ready for IMT3. IMT (Internal Medicine Training is the UKs new training scheme for medicine that replaces CMT (Core Medical Training and the first year of Specialty Registrar training). Its aim to is better prepare trainees for the rigors of being a medical registrar and consultant in a changing NHS (https://www.jrcptb.org.uk/imt). These posts offer the opportunity to gain experience in a chosen specialty or the option to taste more than one specialty if your career choice is not yet clear. They would also be ideal for those more senior trainees aiming for Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR). Successful trainees are welcome to re-apply for a second year.
