Summary
Our superb client with offices based in Peterborough is seeking a Head of Purchasing to join them on a full time permanent basis working 7.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
As Head of Purchasing, you will be responsible for the company procurement strategies, sourcing and reviewing International suppliers, cost-effective material sourcing, driving cost reductions and conducting costs analysis, negotiating contracts and pricing terms and agreements, conducting supplier performance reviews, implementing continuous improvement ensuring company compliance and mitigating any supply chain risks, leading a small team, working closing wit other sites and departments and working on new project initiatives,
To be considered for the Head of Purchasing position you will have a minimum of 5 years experience working within procurement ideally within manufacturing or the automotive sector, proven experience in supplier negotiation and strategic product sourcing, strong team management and leadership skills, exceptional communication skills, commercially aware and experienced in continuous improvement.
In return, our client is offering a starting salary up to £40,000, 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, pension, social events, on site parking.
