Summary
Administrator - Personnel Office
Join a dynamic team providing exceptional administrative services to the Armed Forces, primarily the Royal Navy. Based at BRNC Dartmouth, this role offers the opportunity to rotate through various responsibilities to meet business needs, with training provided where necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves serving as the primary point of contact for personnel administration, liaising with managers and coordinators. Responsibilities include arranging travel through an online booking system and communicating with relevant parties, maintaining and updating budgetary information and personnel data, and inputting updates in the joint-Service administration system. The role also involves assessing entitlements to pay, allowances, and other benefits, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and Data Protection laws, and undertaking additional tasks as directed by the Line Manager.
What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities at all levels. They will bring experience in administration with a customer service focus, along with IT proficiency, particularly in MS Office; knowledge of MOD personnel systems is a plus. Proactive and adaptable, they can manage changing priorities under pressure and possess strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships. A good standard of education and a professional, well-presented image are essential.
Additional Information:
MOD security clearance and a DBS Standard check are required for this role. Proof of the right to work in the UK is essential. The position involves a 37.5-hour workweek, Monday to Friday, from 07:30 to 17:00. Approved company workwear is required for the role.
