Summary

McGinley are seeking an experienced and skilled Drainage Working Ganger to lead a team of drainage operatives on a long term housing project in Edmonton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drainage works, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a team of operatives in drainage installation, maintenance, and repair works.
  • Conduct daily briefings, ensuring all team members understand the tasks and safety protocols.
  • Perform hands-on drainage tasks, including pipe laying, CCTV drainage inspections, manhole installations, and more.
  • Ensure all works are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.
  • Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers to maintain progress and resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and team attendance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Drainage Ganger.
  • Strong knowledge of drainage systems, pipe laying, and groundwork practices.
  • SSSTS, SMSTS or Gold CSCS
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
