Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will support the kitchen operations, assist senior chefs in food preparation, and help maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to learn and grow within a dynamic culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation
Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and portioning.
Follow recipes and instructions from senior chefs to prepare menu items.
Maintain consistency in the presentation and taste of dishes.
Support the creation of Indian dishes under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef.
Kitchen Operations
Ensure all workstations are clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
Assist in receiving, inspecting, and storing kitchen supplies and ingredients.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.
Assist in monitoring inventory and minimizing food waste.
Hygiene and Safety
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Conduct regular cleaning of kitchen equipment, surfaces, and storage areas.
Participate in deep cleaning schedules to maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen environment.
Follow health and safety standards to prevent accidents and maintain a safe workplace.
Collaboration and Learning
Work closely with senior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
Learn and develop culinary skills, techniques, and knowledge of Indian cuisine.
Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
Provide support during busy periods to meet customer demands efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and food preparation techniques.
Genuine interest and passion for cooking and learning about Indian cuisine.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable
Previous experience in a kitchen environment or similar role.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not essential.
