Job Description-
Designation - Commis Chef
Full Time – 40 hours
Salary - £26000 per annum
Cycas Hospitality is seeking a Commis Chef to join our team in London, Greater London, United Kingdom. This position is pivotal to our success, and we are committed to providing a competitive package that reflects the candidate's skills and responsibilities.
Job Scope
Under the direction of the Head Chef or the Sous Chef, prepare and serve a range of menu items that meet customers’ expectations. Promotes the desired work culture around our company culture.

Key Job Responsibilities
Assists with the preparation, presentation, decoration and menu dishes including:
Meat dishes and meat marinades
Fish, shell fish and sauces for fish and shell fish
Garnishing techniques and methods of service for fish
Pastry, cakes and yeast goods
Petit fours and desserts
Prepares Regional Dishes appropriate to the hotel menu, location and guest mix
Buffet Food
Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comment and other relevant information
Attends and participates in daily briefings and other meetings as scheduled
Prepares in advance food, material and equipment needed for the service.
Cleans and re-sets his/her working area
Customer Service
Demonstrate service attributes in accordance with industry expectations and company standards to include: -
being attentive t guests
accurately and prmptly fulfilling guest requests
understand and anticipate guest needs
maintain a high level f knowledge which will enhance the guest experience
demnstrate a service attitude that exceeds expectations
take apprpriate action to resolve guest complaints
Appreciate the dynamic nature of the hotel industry and extend these service attributes to all internal customers
Be able to promote the hotel products and services
Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge about all Cycas Hospitality hotels and Marriott hotel group in your region
What are we looking for?
2 years’ experience in a similar role within a hotel environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in shifts
Understanding the Hotel / Company standards, products and services
