About the role

As a Learning Delivery & Design Officer, you'll be part of a multi-disciplined team within HMCTS L&D. You’ll deliver and design training packages which will build confidence and capability across the national HMCTS estate. The role will require flexibility, as you’ll have the opportunity to work both virtually and face to face, with regular travel to various sites to support our teams nationwide.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic and experienced to join our Learning & Development team. You will work alongside our high-performing Learning Delivery & Design Officers, who create and deliver a range of learning initiatives across HMCTS. In this role, you’ll have the confidence to get in front of a class of learners varying from 1-1 coaching sessions to webinars in the hundreds. Leading training events both in face to face and virtual environments, whilst also contributing to the design and evaluation of our learning solutions. This role offers a dynamic fast paced and challenging environment across multiple jurisdictions. It requires a strong emphasis on continuous learning, creative thinking, and ongoing improvement within the L&D domain.

Your expertise will be essential for the smooth running of our training delivery, while keeping customer satisfaction high. We need someone self-motivated, passionate about leading and supporting learners, and ready to make a significant impact with their contributions.

Your role as the Learning Delivery & Design Officer encompasses several key aspects (but not limited to):

facilitate/deliver a range of learning and development interventions including face-to-face, digital/virtual, social collaborative and coaching to develop critical skills, capabilities and behaviours in line with HMCTS L&D agenda.
ensure your learning delivery activities are inclusive, recognising the diverse needs of individuals and the impact this can have on the learning experience for the whole group.
design blended learning solutions, using a range of digital tools to create flexible and innovative learning programmes.
collate learning evaluation data, facilitate sessions to review evaluation data, identify areas for improvements for upcoming learning designs and make said improvements.

What are we looking for? (Person Specification)

The ideal candidate for this position should demonstrate:

Essential

Proven experience as a trainer or facilitator, with a solid track record of delivering effective training sessions. You should be comfortable leading by example and sharing your knowledge and skills.
Strong communication and presentation skills for delivering training to diverse audiences both virtually and face to face. You should be able to adapt your style to fit different learners and stakeholders.
Enthusiasm for learning and improvement, with the ability to develop yourself and learners through self-reflection.
Flexible approach to workload with willingness to move between different tasks to prioritise work.
Ability to plan and organise own workload with minimal supervision, comfortable with remote team working.
You will have a good proficiency level across the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint), a good understanding of Microsoft Teams.
Desirable

Understanding of Operational Delivery Profession, i.e Court Clerk, Bailiff knowledge
A willingness to learn how to use training software to design and maintain our portfolio of learning products.

This is a full-time position. You will be required to travel to various HMCTS sites to support on-site learning in line with business needs.
