PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



1. To be the first point of contact for queries relating to the updated Ethical Framework, providing support, guidance and advice
as necessary
2. Supporting the Ethics team and responding to ethical dilemmas related to the updating of the Ethical Framework
3. Support the development, and production of Ethical Framework supplementary resources and the review and update of Good
Practice resources
4. Contribute to the systematic review of online resources on the Ethics Hub to ensure they are accurate, accessible and up to
date and in line with the updated Ethical Framework
5. Working across the organisation interdepartmentally to ensure the updated Ethical Framework is embedded across workstreams,
internal processes are in place for the launch, and any training needs or issues are identified
6. Liaise with the Communications team to ensure communications are in place for the launch and mandatory status of the updated
Ethical Framework and supplementary resources
7. Promote the use of Ethics Services and associated ethical resources to the membership in order to increase awareness and
maximise the number of members benefiting from the available services.
8. To support the Ethics Lead and the EF Review Lead in their roles and support the Ethical Framework Project team and
activities related to the review.




KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:




* At least five years or more working within the Counselling and Psychotherapy professions as a practitioner, supervisor or
trainer
* A qualified practitioner having a level five or above counselling/psychotherapy qualification and at least two or more years
of clinical practice working within an ethical framework that supports the standards and professional practice of
practitioners.
* Experience of writing for publication in the counselling field
* To be, or eligible and working towards BACP accreditation.
* The ability to deconstruct complex questions using objective listening skills and offering appropriate options and information
in response.
* An excellent knowledge of the BACP EFfCP with the ability to offer a perspective on how the EFfCP may be applied in a practical
way.
* Excellent inter-personal skills with an ability to communicate at all levels.
* A good team player with excellent organisational skills, demonstrating an ability to work on own initiative, to organise and
prioritise own workload, adhering to agreed deadlines.
* Previous experience of using Office 365 and its applications. .
* Committed to high quality membership guidance and support.
* A solid understanding of the role of counselling and psychotherapy or being able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the
ethical standards and framework.
