Job description
The role of API Portal Administrator is an integral part in the provision of API services to meet DBS strategic goals and business needs. Simplifying timely secure access and enabling ongoing data exchanges for its financial, civilian personnel and Automated applications. With demands from all business areas already high for more efficient, agile responses to data interface requests.
You will have line manager duties of MOD personnel 1 x EO.
Responsibilities
The API Portal Administrator requires an in-depth knowledge of Software AG API Portal Component.
This role is specifically responsible for:
Development and management of the DBS API Portal to ensure secure and timely access to API services.
This will include:-
Leading API Portal development and maintenance
Line management of 1 x EO staff in delivery and administration of the API Portal to provide secure, timely access to APIs. Managing, monitoring, maintaining and continuously improving service provision and access
Collaborating with API Providers and Consumers to meet the needs of the business community
Collaborating across the API / Webservices team to ensure the gateway supports the needs of the team

Management of API Portal users
Customising the API Portal user interface in line with MOD web publishing standards
Defining look and feel including development and implementation of configuration sets to customize API Portal views
Create and remove private communities and manage all communities. Adding and removing users from a communities and define community administrators or revoke the community administrator role from a user
