Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

Are you a superb sociologist or a passionate psychologist? Do you want to work in a Sixth Form that genuinely makes a difference for its students? Look no further.

We are a small Sixth Form specialising in business and digital media. Having always offered sociology, last year we extended our course offering to psychology. We see the social sciences as a vital part of our offering, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to thrive at university and beyond.

We have been incredibly fortunate with our lead teacher in these subjects and are sad to see them leave. In the time they have been with us they have built and resourced a strong curriculum and we are looking for somebody ready to continue this work. You will be the subject lead for these courses and have the ability to place your own stamp on our offering.

Boasting state of the art facilities, staff laptops and permanent classrooms, we are dedicated to making sure that your sole focus can be excellence in the classroom.

Our West London school sees small class sizes at A-level of around 15.

Many schools talk about ‘well-being’ commitments these days, but very few deliver. Find out how much better your work/life balance could be by choosing to join Logic.

Seeing really is believing, so we would encourage those interested to come and have a look around and talk to the rest of our team.

What the school offers its staff

• Our culture is one of aspiration, progression and innovation.
• An entitlement to 2 'flexi-days' each year, allowing you the chance take additional holiday during term time. Given our shorter 187 day year and these 2 flexi days, you teach for 185 days in an academic year.
• We think differently; take our school day as an example. Our start of 9:00am for students allows our staff time to plan in the morning, whilst they are fresh. It also responds to the adolescent brain, which is more alert later in the morning.
• Staff meetings take place in the morning; developing our staff is always a priority, it is only right that this takes place at the start of the day, free from the distractions and fatigue of the school day.
• Directed time finishes at 1:50pm every Friday and starts at 8:50am on Monday allowing you to make the most of your weekend.
• We offer genuine support and guidance to our staff, after all, you are our most important resource.
• Department offices, assigned classrooms, staff laptops, cloud technology; we do our utmost to make your job work for your benefit.
• We hold the highest aspirations for staff and students alike. Support is given to increase your impact through high quality and well planned professional development. Benefit is gained from opportunities across our Trust, Hounslow Education Partnership and our local teaching alliance.
