Qualifications needed:
· Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
· Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
· Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
· At least 3 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) in mental health.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Trainee Doctor in Community Adult Psychiatry position in the Mental Health & Wellness Team - South, based at the Jane Atkinson Health and Wellbeing Centre, 714 Forest Road, Walthamstow, E17 3HP.
This is an well-established, fixed-term contract, full-time post -10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 9:1).This post will soon be vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join2wte full-time Adult Consultant Psychiatrists,1wte Specialty Doctor, 1wte Core Trainee, and 1.2wte GP Traineewithin the service,and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.
You will be expected to:
· Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to adults with mental health needs, across the Southern part of Waltham Forest.
· Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases.
· Provide guidance and supervision to the team.
· Work directly with adult people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals.
· Work alongside the 2wte Consultant Psychiatrists, 1wte Specialty Doctor, and 1wte Core Trainee, and 1.2wte GPvTS within the service, and share clinical supervision requirements with them.
· Develop links already established with the local acute trusts’ A&E departments and inpatient wards.
· Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care.
· Support your peers and the team manager and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative.
· Supervise junior colleagues and liaise with other health and social professionals and agencies.
