Summary
The Facilities Manager will manage and develop any staff allocated; working with them to assure compliance relating to policy, instructions and guidance.
Responsible for Hard and Soft FM advice and delivery within their delegated area of responsibility, defined within a Service Delivery Area (SDA).
Activities include Stakeholder Engagement, Performance and Risk Management, Assurance, Programme Delivery and Issue Resolution reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager (Snr FM).
Deliver specific delegated responsibilities for approval of Billable Works and SFM activities acting as or supporting the Service Manager’s Representative.
Provide accurate responses to focal point requests relating to DIO wide queries, ensuring infrastructure related risks and issues on the site are identified and managed; actively participating with the SFM in engagement activities including at Establishment Weekly Meetings and the Site Infrastructure Management Meeting.
Encourage a working culture which promotes a healthy, safe and inclusive environment. Prioritising people's development and supports smart ways of working. Building strong collaborative, professional working relationships with colleagues and other teams across DIO & the wider MOD, to provide the continued level of support needed across a diverse estate in support of Defence.
