The Role
To lead, supervise, guide and promote Bolton’s Building Control Service. To ensure the requirements of the Building Regulations and associated legislation are managed and enforced.
To lead and manage the delivery of the full range of Building Control functions including safety at sports grounds, dangerous buildings and demolitions.
To oversee the efficient and effective service delivery of resources whilst looking for new ways to promote and develop the service whilst maximising income opportunities.
About You
An experienced Building Control professional with excellent understanding and practical knowledge of Building Control processes and legislation. A proven track record of managing Building Control functions and teams to achieve quality outputs, high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Drive and ambition to look for and implement innovation in service delivery. A problem solving approach with the ability to make complex decisions in a fast paced environment. Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and with partners to achieve results.
