Summary

Job PlanThe job plan for this post will be made up of 10 programmed activities (PA) per week. Application is open to those who wish to job share or work less than full time. Flexible working for non-clinical commitments is supported at UCLH. The job plan will consist of 8.5 PAs Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 PAs Supporting Professional Activities. Up to 3.125 DCC will be allocated to anaesthesia at appointment. A job planning meeting will take place within 6 months of taking up the post to ensure DCC sessions are appropriate and to review SPA allocation, as well as review the balance of anaesthetic commitments if applicable.The postholder will take part in the on-call rota covering out of hours activity in neurocritical care. The on-call frequency will be a 1 in 9 and is remunerated at 1.9 PAs. An additional 0.4 PA is reserved for daytime weekend work on a not on-call basis.In accordance with Schedule 12, Paragraph 2 of the National Consultants Contract Terms and Conditions consultants should live within 30 minutes or ten miles by road from their main place of work, if this is not possible then appropriate hotel accommodation will be provided to consultants when they are on call.
