Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Hair Stylist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional hair styling services while providing outstanding customer service. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills in various areas, including hair cutting, colouring, and styling. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring junior stylists.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality hair styling services, including cutting, colouring, and treatment applications.
Deliver excellent customer service by understanding client needs and providing tailored recommendations.
Upsell products and services to enhance the client experience and achieve sales targets.
Assist with front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing client records.
Mentor junior stylists by sharing knowledge and best practices to foster their professional growth.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with the team to ensure a positive atmosphere within the salon.
Lead the team under guidance from the salon owner.
Requirements
Proven experience as a hair stylist in a salon environment.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
Experience in barbering is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to upsell products and services confidently.
Previous experience with front desk operations is a plus.
A passion for mentoring others and sharing expertise within the team.
Relevant qualifications in hairdressing.
Previous team leader experience a plus but not essential.

Expected hours: 37.5 per week

Licence/Certification:
Hairdressing NVQ/SVQ Level 2 minimum level 3 plus (preferred)
