We are looking to recruit a Purchasing and Production Planner to oversee the procurement of materials and plan the production schedules to ensure the efficient operation of the production process. This role will involve collaborating with suppliers, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with production teams, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to meet customer demands and production requirements, within a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality, and on-time delivery of materials and goods.
• Monitor inventory levels and place orders for raw materials, components, and finished goods based on production needs and demand forecasts.
• Negotiate with suppliers for cost savings, improved terms, and better lead times.
• Ensure that materials meet quality standards and specifications.
• Track and manage supplier performance, resolving any supply chain issues or delays.
• Work closely with the finance department to ensure accurate invoicing and payment for materials purchased.
• Develop and maintain production schedules, ensuring that manufacturing goals are met in terms of timing, cost, and quality.
• Coordinate with production teams to adjust schedules based on changes in demand, material availability, and production capacity.
• Monitor the progress of production orders, adjusting schedules as necessary

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and experience:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in purchasing, production planning, or a similar role in manufacturing or supply chain.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, procurement processes, and production scheduling.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficient in using ERP software, spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and other production planning tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
