Summary
To undertake ophthalmic technician duties including (but not limited to) : Visual acuity assessment visual field assessment Retinal imaging using various retinal imaging devices including OPTOS , OCT imaging, CASIA etc Measurement of spectacles using the automated focimeter Measurement of Intraocular pressure using the Reichert Ocular Response Analyser and iCARE To participate in the virtual technician led clinic. To use electronic patient record management system. To assist in intravitreal injections and cross linking services. To undertake administrative tasks associated with the role, following departmental guidelines and procedures. To contribute to the efficient running of all clinics, opening and closing of clinic setting. To be able to complete successful care certificate completion within 3 months of start date. To ensure safe use and maintenance of all equipment To commit to further training as required To ensure compliance with policies and procedures of the Trust
