Summary

Bexley is an outer London Borough with the best of both worlds, located between the hustle and bustle of London and the Garden of England, Kent. Within the borough we have award winning parks, open spaces and listed heritage sites.



This apprenticeship will be based at Danson House, Danson Park, Bexleyheath. Which is where Bexley Register Office is located. The Registration Services have responsibility for legal requirements of marriages, births, deaths and civil partnerships.



Bexley Register Office services are delivered by Kent County Council. The successful candidate will be employed by Bexley Council but seconded to Kent to fulfil the duties required in this learning journey.

About the Role


You will be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills. As a trainee, you will be supervised and developed to assist in the management of processes and responsibilities of the team. Duties will include responding to enquiries face-to-face and via telephone and email from the public; manage diary booking systems; accurate data entry.

Whilst learning the contract will be fixed term. It is the aspiration of the organisation for the successful apprentice to aspire to full time employment with the Registration Service.

Candidate Profile


Candidates must have 5 GCSEs at A-C/4-9 level including English and Maths (or equivalent) and a desire to learn on the job and combine working with studying. Empathy with the public, good listening skills and attention to detail are all requirements of this role.
