Summary
Blossom Ward is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and passionate Band 5 Nurse to join the team, whether experienced or newly qualified. Blossom Ward provides care, assessment, and treatment to females predominately over the age of 65 years with either an organic or functional illness.
Blossom Ward is located at North View, new adult mental health unit which replaced Park House in November 2024.
Professional development, whether a preceptee or not, is a key priority here on Blossom Ward and the postholder would engage in an appraisal to identify areas of interest and development and be supported with further training whenever possible.

The postholders would be an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team providing care to our service users and being a key contact for our relatives and carers.
Daily tasks would include attending and leading handovers, medicines management, care planning, risk assessing, attending and contributing to board rounds and multi-disciplinary team meetings, and supporting junior staff members on shift. Please see the attached job description for further details.
