As a Senior Building Surveyor, your expertise will guide the planning, execution, and management of building surveys, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards and in compliance with legal requirements. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to assess and mitigate risks associated with building designs and constructions. Your strong leadership skills will enable you to mentor junior surveyors and oversee their development, helping to cultivate a skilled and knowledgeable team. You will also be responsible for preparing detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, making your attention to detail and communication skills essential for this role. Responsibilities
Conduct building surveys and inspections to assess the condition and compliance of structures.
Prepare comprehensive reports outlining findings and recommendations for clients.
Advise clients on regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
Manage and oversee the work of junior surveyors, providing guidance and support as needed.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project specifications are met.
Evaluate reports and documents related to construction and property developments.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Building Surveying or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in building surveying or property management.
Chartered status with a recognized professional body (e.g., RICS).
Strong knowledge of building regulations, codes, and legislative requirements.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in report writing and verbal communication.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
