Summary

This vacancy involves serving customers on all aspects of a busy Post Office counter, so attention to detail and mathematical accuracy is required. Previous experience in Post Office or banking work is preferred. (The Post Office will carry out a DBS background check.) This dual role also includes being a sales assistant in the Charity Shop, serving customers in the shop, sorting and putting out donations, using the till, cashing up, key holder duties ie. opening up/locking up etc. Punctuality and reliability are essential (to ensure that the Post Office and shop are open by 9am) as well as excellent customer service skills. Working on a small team, you will be required to cover for absent staff on other days as well, when necessary. Hours to be mutually agreed, but will include Fridays and Saturdays. Full days are 9 - 5pm, half days are 9 - 1pm and 1 - 5pm. (We do not open on Sundays or Bank Holidays.)
