Our client, an award winning medium sized boutique hotel operation near Truro are seeking a Housekeeping manager to join their team, offering a competitive salary and benefits.
A hands on operator - We are looking for someone with a proven track record in luxury accommodation ,high end hotel operations.
As Housekeeping manager, you will manage all aspects of the housekeeping and laundry operations
Maintaining extremely high standards and overseeing the smooth-running and day to day operations of the house.
Key Responsibilities will include…
• To manage the overall, day to day running of all aspects of housekeeping, including laundry, private and public rooms, manging a team to carry out these cleaning roles out on a daily basis.
• Have a hands on approach and be able to train and develop the housekeeping team
• Adhere to all health and safety, hygiene standards along with all general cleanliness of all areas to the same standards
• Manage customer expectations and deal, resolve with all day to day queries that arise
• Monitor stocks and ordering all housekeeping supplies
• Planning and the facilitation of regular activities such as specific planned cleaning assignments in all areas.
Qualities you will need to display:
• Previous experience in a previous management role- at least three years and within a quality environment
• Excellent communication and IT skills
• Be a hands-on team player, this is a physically active role
• Communicate well
• High organisation
• Ability to work under pressure
The role offers a very competitive salary along with fantastic benefits (Service charge, discount off food and beverage and accommodation) that are associated with this small luxury hotel group in the South West.
Working hours are 8.30am - 4.30pm 5days per week however will be varied and include weekends and evenings. This is a full-time position.
