The Vacancy

Broxtowe Borough Council - 37 hours

To deliver support and domestic abuse awareness to women and their children who have been referred into social care and are on child protection plans. Work alongside social workers within the child protection team to support women and their children where domestic abuse is a presenting or historical factor. Provide individual and family support plans to ensure that they have opportunities to work through their experiences of living with and leaving domestic abuse. Assess individual’s needs and, where applicable, ensure that families have access to services in the community. This may include promoting children’s health and development, educational attendance, attainment, or supporting the family to participate in social and leisure opportunities. Support women in their understanding of the impact of domestic abuse on their children to strengthen the parent-child relationship.
