Summary
Service Care Legal are currently recruiting on behalf of a London Borough Council who seeking a Civil Litigation Lawyer to join their team on a contract basis. Please find below further details about the role.
ROLE: Civil Litigation Lawyer
LOCATION: London
RATE: £45-£50 per hour LTD (DOE, PQE and interview performance)
CONTRACT: 3 months (Ongoing)
Please note this role would require office attendance 2 days per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a varied caseload of general civil litigation, including property, contracts, injunctions, and enforcement.
- Provide timely, clear, and practical legal advice to council departments on a range of litigation matters.
- Handle advocacy in court, where applicable, and represent the council in proceedings.
- Ensure efficient file management, meeting deadlines, and performance targets.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders, as required.
About You:
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 1 year PQE
- Experienced in dealing with a range of civil litigation matters through to completion
- Previous working experience with local authority would be essential
