Currently we are looking for a Technical Architect for our UK operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Technical Architect, you will have a complete understanding of the company’s IT services and products. You will be responsible for scoping, documenting, programming and supporting the solution delivery in complex IT landscapes.
You would possess relevant Industry recognised certifications.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Infrastructure designing, migration and Implementation on cloud.
• Providing scalable, secure, reliable and durable solutions.
• Translating requirements into build activities.
• Shape solutions with key stakeholders and colleagues.
• Define solution architecture which meet HA, DR, Availability, RPO & RTO requirements of the application.
• Collaborate with other tech leads to ensure integrated end-to-end design.
• Define and document technical approach and design.
• Provide technical expertise.
• Control quality throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure best practice leading by example.
• Support system and UAT testing.
• Control & Monitor production implementations.
• Document solutions fully to support on-going development and service.
Skills Required
• Cloud and Programming environments – You will have worked to designing, development and migration project in multiple paradigms and have demonstrable experience of complex cloud based infrastructure solution and implementation. You will have demonstrable experience as technical architect or cloud developer with working knowledge of Scripting & Programming languages.
• Appreciation of data – You will have worked with meaningful data previously in a mission critical environment and be familiar with the techniques employed to ensure that this content is always of high quality.
• Working environment – You will be comfortable attacking complex challenges in many ways, as a team member and most importantly manage the project stakeholders.
• Quality and security – You will understand, respect and reinforce the importance of quality in the product development process. You will have demonstrable experience of using your initiative to improve the quality, robustness and accuracy of deliverables.
• Inter-Personal Skills – You should have demonstrable communication skills, problem-solving and “can-do” attitude.
Essential Experience
• Hands –on knowledge of Cloud Services - IaaS, PaaS and SaaS offering
• Hands on knowledge of Cloud Services - S3, EC2, VPC, VPN, RDS, ECS, Route53, EFS, Cloudwatch, Elastic Beanstalk, EFS, Opsworks, DynamoDB, Lambda, Security and IAM
• Experience in infrastructure provisioning and configuration management tools - Cloudformation, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform (or similar)
• Experience in various Firewall architectures and Network/Cloud Security implementation
• Should be able to work independently on the cloud migration and configuration projects
• Strong exposure to server technologies: JBoss, Tomcat or equivalent
• Experience in scripting languages like Python, Node JS or Bash Scripting
• Experience in Programming Languages in Java/C++/.Net
• Experience with Agile methodology and DevOps concepts
• Good exposure to development and build tools: Eclipse, Jenkins, Maven, ANT
• Good understanding of Databases - Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, No SQL Data Stores,
• Versioning Control tools – SVN, Bit Bucket, Git Hub etc
• An analytical and systematic approach to problem solving
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
• Master’s Degree – Preferred
