Summary
DESIGNATED SAFEGUARDING LEAD (DSL)
Do you have experience as a DSL? We are seeking an experienced DSL to join an SEN school in Manchester to cover a one-year maternity leave.
The Role:
Ensure school adheres to all safeguarding policies and procedures
Managing all student information and keeping up to date with this data
Attending all safeguarding meetings and liaising with other members of staff to inform them of any issues
Advise effective and appropriate safeguarding referrals for all students
Implement effective individual action plans for students that have Complex Safeguarding concerns
Essential:
Experience working as a DSL or Deputy DSL
Ability to identify the signs and indicators of abuse
An understanding of the referral and assessment process for early help and intervention
Experience managing student data
