What are we looking for?
An adaptable and highly motivated person to provide technical instruction, support, advice and demonstrations in Adobe software such as Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve. The ideal candidate will have experience, either in producing graphic content in the commercial sector, or teaching it as a technical process in Higher Education. They will have a keen ability to problem solve and an ambition to support emerging activities. This role is four days a week on campus. Candidates will have:
Knowledge and experience of creative software.
Knowledge and experience of one or more of the following software packages: Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects and DaVinci Resolve.
Good IT skills and excellent numeracy.
Experience of supporting others in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a computing training resource.
Experience of supporting others in delivering in person technical workshops.
What will the job involve?
Providing specialist technical instruction, support, advice and demonstrations in creative software for all users, including supporting the delivery of technical workshops for small groups (15 max).
On-site technical supervision of specialist open access computing spaces.
Experimental work and problem solving on a daily basis.
Working closely with Masters students to support their independent research projects.
Peer-to-peer learning with other technical specialists and continual learning as part of a dynamic team.
