Summary

About The Role
Morrison Energy Services (MES) are recruiting for a Strategic Workforce Analyst role within the Electricity Transmission business. This role will be a on a 6-month fixed term contract.
The role will support business operations with strategic workforce planning activity for both BAU and GGP (Great Grid Upgrade) specific project delivery. The role will provide critical insight into all recruitment activity, through the creation of in-depth reporting and data analysis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing all recruitment activity within the business, from candidate sourcing to onboarding, identifying opportunities for process improvement across all recruitment-related workstreams.
As the Strategic Workforce Analyst your responsibilities will include:

- Work actively with the mobilisation team leaders and key stakeholders to understand resource project requirements, to design and deliver a future-fit, sustainable workforce plan, that delivers the project agenda.
- Provide forecast data and reports based on all recruitment activity, steering business growth.
- Continuously review all recruitment related and talent acquisition processes from a data analysis perspective, identifying strengths, highlighting weaknesses and establishing areas of opportunity.
- Identify opportunities for talent acquisition improvement, from candidate sourcing and selection to successful on-boarding, ensuring effective
- Work in collaboration with the GGP mobilisation team and key stakeholders to develop a strategy for the ongoing mitigation of forecast resourcing shortfalls of the existing or future workforce.
- Conduct continual research into external market conditions, evaluating external trends to bring both external and internal insight into resource decision-making; proactively assessing skills gaps and future labour shortages, as well as actively identifying opportunities.
- Align workforce planning with succession planning, to optimise career opportunities whilst enhancing employee engagement and improving retention.
- Provide guidance and support to the mobilisation team and key senior leaders in developing and executing workforce plans.
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Ensure that workforce and recruitment plans are delivered in line with the Enterprise’s behavioural charter, culture and values, also ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion

Skills & Knowledge Requirements

- Strong, proven experience in designing, developing and producing recruitment related reports and data analysis.
- Proven experience of working strategically with recruitment systems, in particular Eploy, to report on all resourcing activity within Electricity Transmission, developing and improving systematic capabilities and processes where appropriate.
- Proven experience of building capability in workforce planning in a large complex organisation and a sound understanding of resourcing and workforce planning methodology.
- Strong initiative, resilience and confidence in decision-making.
- Excellent planning, prioritisation and organisation skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with all colleagues, at all levels of seniority.
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate requirements of the wider business to ensure the information is required of the standard and completeness required.
- Strong attention to detail is essential.
- The ability to work swiftly and accurately.
- Ensure that all HR and recruitment governance is followed.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work confidently with complex data sets.
