Summary

As we continue to grow, we are looking to expand our team of estates operative to help ensure that our campus is maintained to the highest standards.

The Estates Operative will report directly to the Estate Supervisor and be responsible for providing an efficient and effective estates service within the Facilities Management Department..

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Perform a range of maintenance duties.
Carry out compliance checks – example fire door checks
Perform a range of porterage duties to support college events
Follow health and safety guidelines while using equipment and chemicals
Carry out grounds maintenance duties
Provide an opening and locking up of campus buildings
Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with students, staff, and visitors
We are looking for individuals who have the following:

Hold or work towards a trade qualification pr property maintenance qualification.
Basic Health and Safety training , to hold or be willing to work towards IOSH Working Safely (or equivalent).
COSHH and Manual training.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is also a requirement.

The role will include shift work (including evening & weekends) covering 5 days a week.

The shift systems of the role are currently:

06:00 – 14:30

10:00 – 18:30

13:00 – 21:30

1 weekend approximately every 8 weeks, to cover call out.


If you do not have the above you must be willing to complete the training, you will be supported by the college to complete this.
