The Alan Bray Unit is a combined Intensive care unit/ high dependency unit, which cares for a wide range of critically ill adults and children with musculo-skeletal conditions.
We are looking for adult and paediatric Band 6 nurses to join our well established team.
The unit offers good educational and professional development pathways and is innovative and forward thinking in developments within critical care.
You will be expected to make an active contribution to the unit’s development as we enter an exciting period of expansion
Applicants need to have at least significant experience in Critical Care, a mentorship Course, and an ITU course. Dual trained Paediatric and adult trained nurses desirable.
The main responsibilities:
• Delivering high quality intensive care to patients and their families.
• Coordinating the unit in the absence of the ward manager.
• Facilitation of pre and post registration students.
• Education and support of junior staff members.
• Assisting junior staff in making personal developmental plans.
