Summary

Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 2 TA Qualification Required)
Location: WS3
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Duration: Long-term position confirmed

Smile Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support student with high complex needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. This is a long-term role offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on a child's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-on-one support to children with high complex needs and non-verbal communication.
Ensure the safety and well-being of the student, including managing climbing behaviours.
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement tailored learning strategies.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

Minimum Level 2 TA qualification.
Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
Strong understanding of supporting non-verbal students and managing complex behaviours.
Team Teach training is preferred; however, for strong SEN Teaching Assistants, we offer Team Teach training during the first week of September.
