The Opportunity:
This post is part-time (9 hours per week), fixed term for 12 months, UE05 step 1, £28,879 pro rata
The post holder will organise and promote a range of cultural events for the Instituto Cervantes. In addition, they will provide administrative support and assist in project work as required.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Fluency in written and spoken formal register of Spanish and English, i.e. can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, and recognise implicit meaning.
Can express themselves fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching expressions.
Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organisational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.
UG degree or equivalent work experience.
Event organisation experience.
Experience with email marketing / mailing list management.
Some experience of web editing or willingness to learn the University's CMS.
Professional IT skills – CMS, MS Office.
Organised and can work to project deadlines.
Excellent written communication skills.
Can-do attitude and problem-solving approach.
Interested in Spanish culture.
