Summary

Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Location: Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset
Salary: £25,000 per annum + mileage reimbursement
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (including travel time)
Requirements: Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle

Progression: Salary will increase to £27500 on completion of Level 4 BTEC Positive Behavioural Support Qualification

Role Overview:
As a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in improving the lives of individuals by assessing behavioural needs, creating and implementing tailored support plans, and coaching others on best practices. You’ll work directly with individuals and their support networks, using PBS approaches to foster positive change and promote independence.

Key Responsibilities of the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role

• Conduct assessments to understand the individual's behavioural needs
• Develop, implement, and review personalised support plans in collaboration with the individual, their family, and other stakeholders
• Train and coach staff and family members in positive behaviour support techniques
• Work flexibly across multiple locations within Bristol, South Gloucestershire, and North Somerset, with travel mileage reimbursed
• Monitor, evaluate, and adapt interventions to ensure continued progress and satisfaction

Requirements of the Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner role

• Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
• Experience in a similar role, ideally within the social care or health sector
• Experience with Young People and Adults with Learning Disabilities and Autism
• Strong understanding of PBS principles and person-centred approaches
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
