Summary

Capita Pensions Solutions are looking for a Scrum Master to join our digital team on a fixed term contract until December 2025 working across multiple projects.

You will be responsible for ensuring the development teams follow agile values and principles while maintaining a strong focus on delivery goals. You will facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, remove impediments, and guide the team toward continuous improvement. You will work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and stakeholders to ensure that the team delivers high-quality solutions efficiently and on time, particularly focusing on the digital transformation within the pensions sector.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the UX/UI team in managing and executing agile activities to deliver multiply key projects
• Ensure that the agile processes, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, are effectively facilitated, enabling the team to focus on designing and delivering high-quality user experiences across these digital platforms.
• Removing impediments, fostering collaboration, and continuously optimizing the workflow to meet project deadlines and client expectations.

What will you do:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews, ensuring engagement and productivity across the team

Actively remove any roadblocks or impediments that could hinder the progress of the development team

• Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed and prioritized to meet business goals
• Coach the team on Scrum and agile best practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
• Monitor the team’s performance and provide guidance on improving velocity, sprint commitment, and delivery quality
• Foster communication and collaboration between development, UX, and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals
• Ensure adherence to agile principles while remaining flexible to adapt to the team's needs and project demands
• Track and report on the team’s progress, providing updates to management and relevant stakeholders
• Champion agile methodologies and support the team in becoming self-organized, empowering them to take ownership of their deliverables

Essential

• Agile Skills - Champion agile methodologies and support the team in becoming self-organized, empowering them to take ownership of their deliverables.
• Ability to empathize with pension users and effectively communicate research findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for presenting insights in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
• Stakeholder Communications - Can demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to articulate information in front of stakeholders

Desirable

• Knowledge of DB and/or DC pension schemes
• Agile certified practitioner
