Hours per week: 40 Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm



Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6-12 months



City: Bolton, Greater Manchester



Hybrid working could be considered, but 1st month is office based for training.



The post holder will support the Proposal Teams by co-ordinating the tender and bid activity of the KDC Decommissioning Ltd. business unit. The role holder will be familiar with formal tender processes and manage the input and outputs to the various tender portals or other communication channels used by our clientele aligned to the typical tender process model.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for the collation of documentation to successfully complete Expression of Interest (EOI), Pre-Qualification.
Questionnaires (PQQs) and Request for Proposal’s (RFP)/Invitation’s to Tender (ITT) documentation in line with corporate guidelines.
Responsible for coordinating and delivery of proposals which lead to new business and renewal tender opportunities by adhering to our process.
Assisting with formulating the overall structure of the proposal submission, reviewing documents and supporting a winning plan before writing commences. Including provision of templates, skeleton documents, proposal content.
Support the production of proposal-specific collateral and other materials that effectively convey KDC messages, and value propositions to new and existing customers.
Contributing to the bid kick-off and review meetings, developing winning themes and USPs for the submission. Discussion around our understanding of the client requirements.
Regularly review and update the bid library. Search, retrieve and input all re-usable proposal components and facilitate required inputs from internal and external contributors and ensure accreditations are managed / maintained.
Responsible for understanding the requirements of the inbound tender requests and the needs of the customer to create impactful responses.
Support the monitoring and management of the tender pipeline reporting tool and raise reports as required.
Support the successful submission of responses, portal upload and review of customer content. within the agreed timeframe, track and document results.



Qualifications:

Educated to at least A Level or equivalent.



Skills & Experience:

Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
A deep understanding of potential clients’ needs, tender requirements, and business operations, and where their needs can be met by KDVC.
Previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary team, supporting the collation of data and information which communicates our experience, capabilities, and proposed project approach.
Prior experience with managing complex high value tenders/proposals.
Able to ensure all proposals and documents are tender ready (proof-read, meet tender programme requirements, and align with KDVC bid management standards).
Able to identify and engage with internal and external expert contributors and associates as necessary
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
