As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include…
• Providing 2nd/3rd line support to customers via remote diagnosis, phone/online
• Field service visits to clients to facilitate equipment set ups, service and maintenance work
• Assigning incidents the correct priority rating & ensuring they’re kept up to date
• Training & mentoring 1st line team to ensure a build-up of their knowledge
• Liaising with 3rd party solution providers, developing excellent relationships
• Communicating effectively, ensuring swift resolution at technical/end user level
We are looking for a 2nd Line Support Engineer with the following skills and experience…
• Ideally 3-5 years min experience within IT Support (MSP is preferred)
• Experience with DNS and DHCP & a deep working knowledge of Active Directory etc.
• Understanding of ITIL best practice and a full UK driving licence
• Desktop OS, Windows 10/11 & Remote Desktop Services experience such as VDI
• Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to identify root cause, implement controlled changes
• Strong organisational skills, logical methodical style, ability to manage/prioritise tasks
