The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Tameside Council Employment and Skills Service to develop and deliver a two year programme of activities to address digital exclusion and increase digital skills within the borough.

We would love to hear from you if you have a real passion for working with communities and supporting people to gain new skills. This role is about creating and shaping digital inclusion work with people and organisations.

The aim of the role is to encourage and support local residents who lack one or more of the five basic digital skills to learn and gain confidence in their use of digital technologies. This may be by helping them engage with support already available or working to create new initiatives.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative individual who likes to work with people and technology, with experience in organising projects such as events and workshops and who can build strong partnerships within the council and with other organisations in both the public and private sector.
