Summary

Esklets Preschool would like to offer someone the amazing opportunity of managing our unique charity setting. We are looking for a passionate, inspiring and dedicated individual to lead our staff team, and to ensure all aspects of running the setting are well-managed .
Esklets is a small setting based in the picturesque village of Danby in North Yorkshire. At Esklets we pride ourselves on being a small, homely setting with high expectations for all our children. A large part of the setting is out of doors and our ethos is for the children and staff to be learning and playing outside every day.
Esklets currently has around 20 children on roll, aged between 18months and 4 years. We are open during termtime, from 8.30am-4pm. We have a small, experienced staff team who know our children and their families well, and have good relationships with the schools we feed into, and the local community.
This individual would require the following:
• A minimum NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education or equivalent
• The ability to manage and support a staff team
• Experience in working in a preschool/nursery environment
• A thorough understanding of the EYFS
• The ability to work closely in partnership with parents/carers and professionals
Desirable criteria:
• Experience in running a childcare setting, although support will be given to train the right candidate

Rate of pay: to be discussed
Hours: Term time only, 32-38 hours a week (to be discussed)
