This is a Maternity Cover post, working 37 hours per week.

Day to day duties of the role

Co-ordinate and manage one of the three Autism provision areas; Ready to Learn (Transition to College), Dual Curriculum or Transition out of College, by leading a team of specialist Autism Practitioners.
Co-ordinate and develop systems and processes that ensure high quality personalised programmes for Autistic learners who are accessing programmes of study, apprenticeships, Higher Education and Specialist Support.
Proactively develop the Autism Provision and work under own initiative, by further developing the specialist area through CPD and evidence based research.
Delivering teaching and training on appropriate courses at FE and HE level alongside sharing best practice internally, externally and within the SEND Centre of Excellence.

Required skills and qualifications

A Degree or relevant qualification which is appropriate to the work
Relevant successful teaching experience within the Autism provision
Relevant successful experience of co-ordinating and leading an area
A working knowledge on range of funding elements including, ESFA, High Needs Top Up, AEB EAS and the legal and statutory requirements with the SEND Code of Practice
