The Ministry of Defence employs over 50,000 Civil Servants. Within that, the Army Top Level Budget (TLB) employs around 7,000 MOD Civil Servants located at over 300 locations. Ours is a diverse workforce, with roles ranging from trainers, human resources, teachers, and psychologists to storekeepers, financiers, project and programme managers, and policy secretariat staff. There are many different functions and professions delivering key outputs for the Army.
The Royal School of Artillery is an International Centre of Excellence for Artillery Training, comprising of a blended workforce of highly qualified military instructors from the Royal Artillery and exchange foreign artillery Instructors and Civil Servants. The RSA's mission is to deliver trained and motivated service personnel capable of operating the artillery system of systems, and leadership skills.
The Post is part of the Royal Electrical Mechanical (REME) Workshop (Wksp), the RSAs Vehicle maintenance, recovery, and equipment care department.
The successful applicant will be part of a small but lively team working on a wide range of vehicles, including armoured tracked and wheeled vehicles in support of the training fleet for the RSA. You will have a consistent track record in repairing Light & Heavy Vehicles either within commercial civilian Workshops or the REME. Our Vehicle Mechanics have a keen eye for the finer detail, are enthusiastic about delivering the highest level of standards, all whilst working as part of a team to deliver results as efficiently as possible to meet our customer's expectations.
