You will join a high-performing, friendly and supportive team. For the right candidate, there is opportunity to take on additional responsibilities – for example providing some private office support, contribute to corporate activity and making No10 the best possible place to work.
The responsibilities of the role can flex based on requirements. The ideal candidate for this role is a proactive self-starter, capable of thinking ahead and using their initiative to solve problems before they arise.
Non-comprehensive list of responsibilities below:
- Direct support to PM’s most senior advisers including; diary management, inbox management and daily briefing packs.
- Contributing wider private office teams, standing in for private secretaries where needed.
- Forward planning of office cover, identifying and mitigating any challenges early.
- Co-ordinating team meetings, taking a minute and ensuring actions are recorded and taken forward as appropriate.
- Managing and updating the team business continuity plan as required.
- Keeping team documentation and records up to date and filed appropriately.
- Adhoc support on PM external and internal events where required.
- Supporting travel and logistics managers with visa applications and other tasks.
- Deal with enquiries from guests invited to Downing Street events.
- Portfolios can flex depending on business priorities, you must be able to manage in ambiguity, demonstrating personal resilience.
- The post holder will be organised, efficient and a team player.
